Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – horse gram
• 1 cup – ground coconut/paste
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – onions, sliced
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 piece – Cinnamon
Method:
- Soak the horse gram in water for a few hours.
- Heat oil in a pressure cook and saute onions, cloves and cinnamon for a few minutes.
- Add all the other ingredients along with the horse gram and 3 cups of water and mix well.
- Pressure cook for 20 minutes till the horse gram is cooked.
- Serve hot with plain rice and chutney.
