Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Toor Dal
• 1 – Tomato
• 3 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• 3 tbsp – Coriander leaves
• 1 stalk – Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – mustard and Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• Oil for seasoning
• Garlic – 3
Method:
- Pressure cook dal with chopped tomato and mash well
- Add 1.5 cup of water, salt, turmeric and chilli powder, coriander leaves and curry leaves
- When the mixture boils, add tamarind pulp, mix well and boil for 5 more minutes on medium flame
- Remove and keep aside.
- Season the dal with a tadka of mustard, cumin seeds, urad dal, garlic and curry leaves
