Ingredients:
• 10 Pieces – Jack fruit (Remove seed, wash, chop and keep aside)
• 3/4 cup – Jaggery (Grated)
• 1/4 cup – Coconut pieces (Chopped to small pieces)
• 1 cup – Coconut Milk
• 1 cup – Milk (Boiled and cooled)
• 2 tsp – Ghee
• Cashew nut A few
• Cardamom powder A pinch
Method:
- Pressure cook chopped jackfruit with enough water for just one whistle.
- Cool and then grind the cooked jackfruit to a fine paste. Keep aside.
- Meanwhile, dissolve jaggery in a little water and filter to remove dust.
- Make a syrup and keep aside.
- Fry cashew nuts and coconut pieces separately till golden brown. Keep aside.
- Now, combine milk, jackfruit paste, jaggery syrup, cardamom powder, fried coconut pieces and cashewnut.
- Boil for few minutes. Switch off and then add coconut milk.
- Serve hot or chilled.
