Ingredients:
• 500 g – minced Mutton
• 1/2 cup – onion, finely sliced
• 1/2 cup – tomato, chopped
• 1/2 cup – Cashew nuts
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 3 cm piece – Ginger
• 4 flakes – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 4 Cloves
• 2 pieces Cinnamon
• 4 Cardamom
• salt to taste
• Coriander leaves to garnish
Method:
- Soak the cashew nuts in hot water for 1 hour.
- Grind coconut with ginger and garlic to a smooth paste.
- Mix all the powders with the coconut paste.
- Heat the oil. Add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.
- Add onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add the Masala paste and fry till fragrant.
- Add tomatoes and cook till they become pulpy.
- Add the minced mutton and fry for 3-5 minutes.
- Add salt, cashew nuts (drained from soaking water) and about 1 cup of hot water.
- Cover and simmer till the mutton is cooked.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Parathas or Rotis.
