Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken –
• 1 – onion(big)
• 1/2 – Capsicum
• 10 – Cashewnuts
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds (khashakhasha) powder
• Ghee – a little
• 4 tsp – Garlic paste
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 6 – Tomato
• 1/4 cup – Ginger
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1/4 cup – Coriander leaves
• Salt as require
• 1.5 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tsp – kasuri Methi (uluva ela)
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Boil onions in a vessel.
- Make a paste of the boiled onions, cashews and poppy seeds.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add capsicum, garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.
- Add coriander powder and chilli powder and saute till the poke goes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and saute.
- Add ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves and saute for atleast 5 mins.
- Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
- Add salt as required.
- Cook chicken on low flame.
- Once chicken is cooked, add garam masala, kasuri methi and the boiled onion paste and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
