Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Chicken –
• 1 – onion(big)
• 1/2 – Capsicum
• 10 – Cashewnuts
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds (khashakhasha) powder
• Ghee – a little
• 4 tsp – Garlic paste
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 6 – Tomato
• 1/4 cup – Ginger
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1/4 cup – Coriander leaves
• Salt as require
• 1.5 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tsp – kasuri Methi (uluva ela)
• Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Boil onions in a vessel.
  2. Make a paste of the boiled onions, cashews and poppy seeds.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan.
  4. Add capsicum, garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.
  5. Add coriander powder and chilli powder and saute till the poke goes.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and saute.
  7. Add ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves and saute for atleast 5 mins.
  8. Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
  9. Add salt as required.
  10. Cook chicken on low flame.
  11. Once chicken is cooked, add garam masala, kasuri methi and the boiled onion paste and mix well.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
