Ingredients:

• For dough:
• 2 cups – Maida
• 2 tbsps – sooji
• 4 tbsps – Ghee
• Water
• 15 ml – Milk
• For frying:
• 1 – cup oil
• For filling:
• 1.5 cups – Jaggery
• 1 cup – Chana Dalia powder
• 1 cup – dry Coconut powder
• Cashewnuts and dry Grapes – a few
• Cardamom powder

Method:

  1. Prepare a slightly stiff dough with the above ingredients.
  2. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  3. Grind chana dalia powder, jaggery, coconut powder finely and add cashwenuts, grapes and elaichi powder and mix well.
  4. Make small balls of dough and roll them into elliptical shapes.
  5. Put 1 tbsp spoon of mixture along the centre.
  6. Apply milk on the sides and stick the edges.
  7. Heat oil in pan and deep fry.
