Ingredients:

• 1 bunch – Curry leaves
• 2 – onions, medium size
• 1 – tomato, large size
• 2-3 – Red Chillies
• Tamarind – a small piece
• 2 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Bengal Gram
• Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, wait until it splutters then add urad dal and Bengal gram.
  3. Add the chopped onions and green chillies, saute until golden brown.
  4. Add the tomatoes and tamarind and continue to stir.
  5. Now add the curry leaves and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Leave it to cool and then grind.
  7. Serve with idli, dosa or hot steaming rice.
