Ingredients:

• Chicken – 5 thighs, 5 Drumsticks
• Tomato – 2
• Onion – 1 big
• Green chillies – 6
• Coconut Milk -1 cup
• Curry leaves – few
• Chicken masala – 2 tsp
• To grind to a paste:
• Cloves – 3
• Cinnamon stick – 1/2 inch piece
• Ginger – A small piece
• Garlic – 3 Cloves
• Aniseed – 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. Slice the onion and keep aside.
  2. Grind all the spices into a smooth paste.
  3. Heat a pan and saute the onion in oil till golden brown.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
  5. Add the chicken masala and the ground paste and fry it till the oil separates.
  6. Add the cleaned chicken pieces into this and mix well.
  7. Add a little water to it and close the lid and cook on medium flame.
  8. When the meat is well cooked, add the coconut milk.
  9. Stir well, add curry leaves and remove from fire.
