Ingredients:

• 1 Cup – Rava (Sooji)
• 1 Cup – Sugar
• 1 Cup – Milk
• 1.5 cups – Water
• 1/2 Cup – Ghee (clarified butter)
• 1/4 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 tsp – Saffron or Orange colour
• 2 tbsp – finely chopped pistas and badams
• 10 – Raisins

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add rava, stir and roast on low till a nice aroma is obtained.
  2. Add water, milk, sugar, orange colour and cardamom powder to a vessel and bring it to a boil.
  3. Add the roasted rava little by little to the water, stirring continuously.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of chopped pistas and badams, cover and simmer till ghee separates.
  5. Fry raisins and 1 tbsp pista, and badams in 1 tbsp of ghee and garnish the kesari bath.
  6. Place hot kesari bath mix on a greased plate, roll it with a rolling pin and cut into squares.
