Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – king fish/seer fish slices/Spanish blue mackerel
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 2 – green mangoes, peeled and cut into medium-sized pieces
• 2 – onions, sliced finely
• 1/2 cup – Coconut paste
• 2 – Green chillies
• 3 tbsp – Coriander leaves
Method:
- Cook the green mango pieces with the green chilies and a pinch of turmeric in a little water till soft.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
- Add the turmeric powder, chillies powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, coconut paste and salt and mix well.
- Keep frying on low heat till the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add the fish and the cooked mango pieces and a little water and cook for 5 to 6 minutes till the fish is done.
- Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot with rice.
