Ingredients:
• Cabbage – 1 kg
• Green peas – 1/2 cup
• Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Onion – 1 cup, sliced
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Green chillies – 3, slit
• Curry leaves – few
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut the cabbage into thin strips, discarding the hard stems.
- Boil green peas till almost cooked.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard and cumin seeds.
- When they splutter, add onion and green chillies.
- Fry till onion is light brown.
- Add cabbage, peas and salt.
- Leave on low flame till cabbage is cooked. (Do not add water).
- If there is still some water left in the kadai, cook on high heat, stirring briskly till the liquid evaporates.
- Stir in the coconut and serve.
