Ingredients:

• 250 gms – fresh button Mushrooms
• 2 onions, finely chopped
• 1 cup – fresh Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 2-3 nos – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 cup – Yoghurt (beaten)
• 2 tbsp – Cashewnut paste
• 1 tbsp – coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp – ghee/oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Clean button mushrooms.
  2. Cut each into four pieces and keep aside.
  3. Make a paste with coriander leaves, green chillies, salt and mix with the ginger-garlic paste.
  4. Heat ghee or oil in a handi (pot).
  5. Add the finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
  6. Add the prepared paste and saute till oil separates.
  7. Add the beaten yoghurt.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Add the mushrooms in the handi.
  10. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  11. Now, add the cashewnut paste and bring the mixture to a boil.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with pulao or steamed rice.
