Lal Paneer

Ingredients:

• 500 g Paneer – Cut into 4 thick slices
• Spring onions chopped, for garnishing
• 1 tbsp oil
• Soak together for an hour
• 2-3 whole Red Chillies
• 2 tbsp Vinegar
• 2 tbsp roasted gram
• 1 tbsp Garlic – Chopped
• 50 g Onions – Chopped
• 4 Cloves
• 4 peppercorns
• 1/2 tsp Cinnamon – Broken to small pieces
• 14″ blade Javitri

Method:

  1. Grind all ingredients except the paneer and spring onions.
  2. Marinate the paneer pieces in the ground paste for an hour.
  3. Place a greased, saucer like plate upright in a dish.
  4. Arrange paneer slices along the edge.
  5. Cook uncovered at high for 4 minutes.
  6. Turn, brush with oil and cook uncovered at high for 4 minutes.
  7. Lift paneer slices onto a serving dish and serve garnished with the spring onions.
