Ingredients:

• 250 gm ground lentils
• 50 gm margarine
• 25 gm Tomato puree
• 2 Tomatoes
• 2 onions, chopped
• 1 Clove of garlic, crushed
• 100 gm Cooked Rice
• Salt to taste
• 1 litre water
• 2 tsps. Baharat
• Juice of 1 Lemon

Method:

  1. Boil the lentils in 1 litre of water and mash it to a pulp
  2. Saute the onions and garlic in the margarine
  3. Add remaining ingredients except the rice to the lentils and cook for 45 minutes without a lid
  4. Add the cooked rice. Cook for a further 15 minutes
  5. Serve hot
