Low Calorie Paneer Methi

Ingredients:

• Low fat paneer, cut into tiny pieces – 1 cup
• Fenugreek leaves (methi bhaji), chopped – 2 cup
• Onion, chopped finely – 1/2 cup
• Peanut or Rice bran oil – 2 tsp
• Garlic – 2 tsp, minced
• Ginger – 2 tsp, minced
• Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Cumin powder – 1 tsp
• Coriander powder – 2 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1 tsp
• Tomato puree – 1/2 cup
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a non stick kadai.
  2. Add onion, garlic and ginger and fry till onion turns brown.
  3. Add fenugreek leaves.
  4. Sprinkle with a little salt and keep covered on low heat till it is cooked.
  5. Mix all the powders with little water to form a paste and add.
  6. Cook it, while stirring for a couple of minutes.
  7. Add tomato puree, paneer and salt.
  8. Add 1/3 cup of water and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with rotis.
