Ingredients:

• 1 – Chicken
• 1 – onion, medium-sized
• 8 – Garlic Cloves
• 1 piece Ginger – thumb sized
• 3 tsp – black pepper seeds
• 1 tsp – sweet cumin
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 6 – Almonds
• 8 – Cashew nuts
• 1 cup – Yoghurt
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 cup – cooking oil
• 1/2 tsp – Clove powder
• 2 tbsp – Tomato sauce
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Finely grind onion, garlic and ginger.
  2. Finely grind black pepper seeds, cumin and sweet cumin.
  3. Finely grind almonds and cashew nuts.
  4. Wash chicken and cut into pieces.
  5. Marinate with ground onion mixture, yoghurt and turmeric for 15 minutes.
  6. Place in pot and cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the ground almond mixture and clove powder for a few seconds.
  8. Add cooked chicken pieces.
  9. Stir well, then add ground pepper mixture.
  10. Stir fry till chicken is light brown.
  11. Add tomato sauce and salt to taste.
  12. Serve hot with rice.
