Ingredients:
• Milk – 1 litre
• Maida – 1 tbsp
• Chiroti Rawa – 1 to 2 tbsp
• Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
• Oil or Ghee to fry
• Some rabri
• Handful of Almonds and pistachios, slivered
• Sugar syrup:
• Sugar – 1 cup
• Water – 1/2 cup
Method:
- Dissolve sugar in water and simmer gently for three minutes.
- Boil the milk till it becomes like a thick paste. Beat till smooth.
- Cool and add maida and rawa. Depending on how thick the milk paste is, you may need to adjust the quantity of rawa.
- The mixture should be like very soft dough or stiff paste.
- Take small lumps of this mixture and press on a plastic sheet and flatten into thin discs.
- Deep fry the discs in very moderately hot oil or ghee till golden in colour.
- Drain from oil/ ghee and add to the syrup. Let them soak at least for 1 hour.
- Just before serving, drain from syrup and arrange on a serving plate.
- Pour the rabri over it and decorate with almond and pistachio slices.
