Ingredients:

• 6 to 8 – ripe mangoes
• 1 cup – curds beaten
• 2 cups – water
• 4 – green chilli, seeded and chopped
• 2 tbsp gram flour mixed with 4 tbsp water
• 1/2 tsp – Haldi powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – dry Ginger
• Sugar and salt to taste
• For seasoning:
• 1 tbsp – mustard
• a pinch of Hing
• 1 tbsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Peel and cut mangoes. Puree and strain.
  2. Beat curds with water and add to the mango pulp along with the gram flour.
  3. Place pan on heat and bring to a boil slowly, stirring all the time. Remove from heat.
  4. Heat Ghee in Tadka pan, add the seasoning and fry for 1 minute.
  5. Add to the mango Kadhi.
  6. Serve with white rice and Papad.
