Ingredients:

• 2 cups – mathia flour
• 1 cup – Urad Dal flour
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tsp – Ghee
• 1/3 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – papad khar
• 1 tsp – ajwain
• Salt to taste
• Approx 1/2 cup – warm water (add more if needed)

Method:

  1. Mix the flours, red chilli powder and the ghee.
  2. Add papad khar, ajwain, sugar and salt to the warm water.
  3. Mix it all together to make a stiff dough. Pound it for a few minutes, stretch and knead it till it’s smooth.
  4. Roll out into puris. Heat oil and deep fry on medium heat.
