Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Mutton or beef, cut into cubes
• 3 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• 2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – pepper powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – Vinegar
• 2 tomatoes, chopped

Method:

  1. Marinate the meat with salt and turmeric and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan or pressure cooker and saute the onions for few minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger paste and stir fry for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the marinated meat, chopped tomatoes and all the other ingredients and saute for a few minutes.
  5. Add sufficient water, cover and simmer till the meat is tender.
  6. Then, add the potatoes and simmer for 5 more minutes or till the potatoes or cooked.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with rice.
