Ingredients:

• 1 bunch – Fenugreek leaves
• 1/2 cup – red gram dal
• 1 – Onion
• 1 – Tomato
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• Lemon size – Tamarind
• 2 flakes (small) – Garlic
• 2 tbsp – grated/shredded Coconut
• 1 tsp – mustard
• 1 tbsp – black gram dal
• small quantity – Curry leaves
• salt to taste
• oil for frying

Method:

  1. Wash and cut fenugreek leaves and keep it aside.
  2. Wash dal and keep it in pressure cooker along with green leaves, chopped onion, tomatoes, garlic, tamarind paste, green chillies, red chilli powder, grated coconut and little salt.
  3. Pour 1 cup of water and boil it for some 15 minutes. Smash it.
  4. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, black gram dal, curry leaves and add it to the boiled dal.
