Ingredients:
• apples – 500 gms, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
• oil – 4 tbsp
• Shallots – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• Garlic – 1 tbsp, minced
• Ginger – 2 tbsp, minced
• chilli powder – 1 tsp
• black pepper powder – 1 tsp
• cumin powder – 1 tsp
• water – 1/2 cup
• dark soya sauce – 1 tsp
• Vinegar – 1 tbsp
• Sugar – 1 tsp
• MSG – 1/2 tsp, optional
• salt to taste
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients from oil to ginger in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on ‘High’ for 4-5 minutes, stirring twice.
- Add all the powders and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add water and apples.
- Cover and microwave on ‘High’ for 3-4 minutes.
- Add rest of the ingredients and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
