Ingredients:

• 1 – medium cabbage, shredded
• 1/2 – tomato, chopped
• 1/2 – medium capsicum, chopped
• 1 stalk – Curry leaves
• 2 – green chillies, slit
• 1 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Coriander seed powder
• 2 to 3 pinches – Asafoetida
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal grains
• 1 tbsp – oil
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash cabbage, drain. Pour oil in a microwave bowl. Put green chilli, curry leaves, urad dal, asafoetida.
  2. Microwave for 20 seconds, remove.
  3. Add cumin seeds, cabbage, return to microwave.
  4. Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle all masalas, tomato, coriander, salt, sugar.
  6. Microwave on high for 4 mins.
  7. Remove, add lemon juice, stir.
  8. Cover and allow to stand for 2 mins before serving.
