Ingredients:

• 1 kg chicken,
• 1.5 cups sweet oil,
• 1.5 cups vinegar,
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder,
• 4-6 green chillies,
• 1 bunch Coriander leaves
• To grind:
• 6-7 flakes garlic,
• 2 cm piece ginger,
• 6 cardamoms,
• 6-8 cloves,
• 8-10 peppercorns,
• 1/2 kg cashewnuts,
• 1/8 kg groundnuts,
• 1 tsp salt.

Method:

  1. Grind the ingredients and make a paste.
  2. Split green chillies lengthwise and chop coriander leaves.
  3. Take a large pan and mix the ground masala with the vinegar, salt, oil, turmeric, green chillies, coriander leaves and chicken pieces.
  4. Let the mixture marinate well for two hours.
  5. Then put the pan on a very slow fire and let it simmer until the meat is tender.
  6. Serve it with tandoori roti.
