Ingredients:
• 1 cup – radish pieces, chopped
• 1 cup – Spring onions chopped (separate white and greens)
• 1/8 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1.5 tbsp – white sesame seeds
• 1 small – Star anise
• 2 – Green chillies slit
• 1 spring – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• A pinch – mustard
• Cumin – 1/2 tsp
• Pinch of Asafoetida
• 3 tsp – oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a wide pan, splutter cumin, mustard, dals and add green chillies and curry leaves.
- When the dals turn slightly golden, add asafoetida, white parts of the spring onion and radish. Sprinkle salt and turmeric
- Fry till the radish is almost cooked
- Powder finely, sesame seeds and star anise
- When the radish turns soft, add the ground powder, chilli powder and green parts of spring onions and fry on a medium high for 2 mins.
- Serve.
