Ingredients:
• 1 kg – chicken, cut into four pieces
• 1 tbsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 2 tbsp – Yoghurt
• 1 tbsp – dry roasted and pounded Garam Masala
• 4 medium-sized onions, made into a paste
• 1 tsp – soya sauce
• 1.5 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 to 3 Cloves garlic, crushed
• A pinch of any food colour
• Oil for cooking
• Salt to taste
• For the garnish :
• 6 to 7 cashew nuts, roasted
• A few sprigs coriander leaves, finely chopped
• Fresh Cream
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except the chicken, oil and the crushed garlic.
- Marinate the chicken pieces overnight in this mixture and add 1 tsp of oil.
- Heat the oil in a kadai and add the crushed garlic.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir thoroughly.
- Cover and allow to cook on low heat for 45 minutes.
- Keep stirring at regular intervals.
- Remove from heat and garnish with the roasted cashewnuts, coriander leaves and fresh cream.
