Ingredients:
• button mushrooms, chopped – 200 gm
• Broccoli – 75 gm
• Butter – 2 tbsp
• vegetable or Chicken stock 1 litre
• Onion – ½ cup, chopped
• Garlic – 2 tsp, chopped
• cumin powder -½ tsp
• black pepper powder -½ tsp
• chili powder -½ tsp
• Bay Leaf 1
• salt to taste
Method:
- Melt butter and fry onion and garlic till fragrant.
- Add all the powders, bay leaf, mushroom, stock and salt.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Cool the mixture and blend till smooth.
- Heat the shorba and grate the green part of broccoli into it.
- Simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Serve hot.
