Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Mutton
• 5 to 6 – Onions
• 4 to 5 – Green chillies
• 2 inch long – Ginger
• 5 to 6 pods – Garlic
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilly powder
• 1 tbsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tbsp – coriander powder
• coriander leaves, handful
• 1 cup – Coconut grated
• 6 to 8 – Cashewnuts
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cook mutton pieces separately in a cooker for 15 – 20 minutes.
  2. Take a vessel, heat oil and add the ginger – garlic paste. Saute the mixture.
  3. Add sliced onions and green chillies. Saute well.
  4. Add all the masala powder and saute.
  5. Add salt and water as needed and cook for 15 mins.
  6. Grind coconut and cashew nuts with little water and add this mixture to the pan.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
