Ingredients:

• 500 g – Mutton cubes
• 1/2 cup – oil/ghee
• 3 – Tomatoes (blanched, peeled and chopped)
• 2 – onions, crushed
• 6 – green chillies, slit
• 1 tbsp – each Garlic paste, salt and chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – Almond powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder (dhania)
• 1 tsp – each Cumin seeds and Garam Masala powder
• 1/2 cup – thick curds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder (haldi)
• 1/2 cup – coriander leaves, chopped

Method:

  1. Heat oil, fry onions till golden brown.
  2. Add tomatoes and slit green chillies, cook till oil separates.
  3. Add meat, garlic, salt, chilli powder, coriander, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric and almond powder. Fry for 2-3 mins.
  4. When oil separates, add 1/2 cup warm water.
  5. Cook on low flame with a cover till meat is tender and the gravy is thick.
  6. Garnish with julienne of ginger and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Serve with naan, parathas or pulao rice.
