Ingredients:

• 1 cup – maggi or other instant noodles
• 1/2 cup – cornflakes, crushed lightly
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 tomato, finely chopped
• 1 boiled potato, finely chopped
• 1 slice raw mango, finely chopped (optional)
• 1 tsp – hot green all-purpose chutney
• 1 tsp – sweet Tamarind chutney
• salt and Lemon to taste

Method:

  1. Crush noodles lightly to pieces.
  2. Dry roast them in a dry heavy pan till light in texture.
  3. Cool a little in a large bowl.
  4. Add all other ingredients, toss well.
  5. Serve immediately with tea, coffee, or even hot chocolate.
  6. Variations: One may use puffed wheat, popcorn, etc. instead of noodles. If one wants the bhel dried and spicier, omit green chutney and sweet chutney. Use finely chopped green chillies and more lemon, salt as per taste.
