Ingredients:

• 1.5 cup – Maida
• 1 cup – grated Carrot
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 2 – eggs
• 1/2 cup – oil
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1 tsp – baking soda
• Pinch – salt
• Cardamoms – a few, powdered
• 1/3 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• Orange essence – 3 drops
• Butter for greasing the pan – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Sieve the maida, salt, baking powder and soda.
  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the grated carrot to it.
  3. To this mixture, add the finely grounded sugar and then oil. Keep on stirring the mixture.
  4. Add the essence, cardamoms and the nutmeg powder to it.
  5. Put this batter in a pre-heated greased baking pan.
  6. Bake it for 35 min at 180 degrees C in the oven.
