Ingredients:
• 1 – pahakai
• 1 cup – thuvar dal (red gram dal)
• Little tamarind, asafoetida, Jaggery and salt to taste
• For frying:
• 1 tbsp – coconut,
• 1 tbsp – Rice
• 1 tbsp – Dhania
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal (Bengal gram dal)
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – urud dal (black gram dal)
Method:
- First fry the pahakai in oil and pour tamarind extract. Allow it to boil till the smell of tamarind goes. Fry all these in a pan. Put the coconut at last for frying.
- After some time beat all these in a mixie and put everything into the pan along with the cooked tuvar dal.
- In order to arrest the bitter taste of pahakai, add some lemon juice while cooking.
