Ingredients:

• 400 g – Cottage cheese (paneer)
• 4 – Onions
• 15 g – Ginger
• 4 – Tomatoes
• 1 – small Capsicum
• 1 tsp – Jeera (cumin seeds)
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tbsp – Dhania (coriander) powder
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper
• 1 tsp – soya sauce
• 1 tbsp – Tomato sauce or ketchup
• Salt to taste
• Oil to deep fry

Method:

  1. Cut the paneer into cubes and deep fry it. Keep it aside.
  2. Chop the onions, ginger, capsicum and tomatoes.
  3. In a pan heat 3 tbsps of oil.
  4. When oil is hot, add jeera.
  5. When jeera starts to pop add onions, ginger and chopped capsicum.
  6. Fry till the onions turn transparent.
  7. Now add chopped tomatoes and fry it till it softens.
  8. Take off heat, cool for 2 mins and grind.
  9. Heat the pan with a tbsp of oil on medium heat and the ground masala, garam masala, dhania powder, black pepper, red chilli powder and salt. Fry for 1 min.
  10. Now add soya sauce, tomato sauce and paneer. Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 mins.
  11. Keep stirring.
  12. Serve hot with rotis or rice.
