Ingredients:
• 2 litres – Milk (full cream).
• 100 g – basmati rice.
• 1 tbsp – ghee.
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder.
• 8-10 – almonds.
• 8-10 – cashewnuts.
• 8-10 – pistachios.
• 8-10 – raisins.
• 1 pinch – saffron.
• 150 g – sugar.
Method:
- Boil milk for 15 mins.
- Fry rice with ghee for 5 mins till the colour changes to golden.
- Grind rice coarsely in a grinder (don’t make it a fine powder).
- Add the ground rice in boiling milk.
- Keep stirring for 15 mins till the dish turns semi solid. Add sugar and saffron and keep stirring for 5 more mins.
- Put the dish in a bowl and refrigerate for 30 mins.
- Serve in bowl and garnish with sliced dry fruits.
