• 6 cups – rich Mutton stock
• 4 tbsp – Butter
• 2 cups – Onion
• 6 slices – bread
• salt and pepper
• ground cheese
- Melt butter. Add thinly sliced onions. Brown these evenly, then add the mutton stock, salt and pepper.
- Allow it to simmer for 15 mins.
- Spread butter lightly in 6 slices of bread and cut into squares.
- Sprinkle ground cheese on them and grill.
- Pour soup into bowls and float bread squares in each.
- Sprinkle additional ground cheese and serve piping hot.
