Ingredients:
• 6 – Banana peppers
• For the batter:
• 1 cup – gram flour (besan)
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• For the filling:
• 3 – Potatoes (large)
• Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
• Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste
Method:
- For the filling:
- Boil the potatoes with salt. Peel and mash the potatoes.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder and mix well.
- For the batter:
- Mix all the ingredients with water and prepare a thick batter.
- Slit the green peppers, remove the seeds, and fill them with the potato filling.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Dip the peppers nicely in the batter and fry them golden brown.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
