Ingredients:

• 6 – Banana peppers
• For the batter:
• 1 cup – gram flour (besan)
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• For the filling:
• 3 – Potatoes (large)
• Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
• Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. For the filling:
  2. Boil the potatoes with salt. Peel and mash the potatoes.
  3. Add chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. For the batter:
  5. Mix all the ingredients with water and prepare a thick batter.
  6. Slit the green peppers, remove the seeds, and fill them with the potato filling.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai.
  8. Dip the peppers nicely in the batter and fry them golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
