• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 cup – Urad Dal
• 1/2 cup – finely ground Jaggery
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 tsp – finely ground Nutmeg
- Soak jaggery in 1 cup of water till it dissolves, then strain.
- Now soak rice and dal separately in water for about 6 hours.
- Drain out the water grind separately to a paste.
- Mix with jaggery and cover and set in a hot place for 1 hour. Then steam.
- Serve with hot ghee poured over the top.
