Ingredients:

• 100 gm – raw Tamarind
• 1 – medium size Tomato
• 1 – medium size Onion
• Red Chilli powder as per taste
• Turmeric powder as per taste
• Salt
• For seasoning:
• Oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1 tsp – Bengal Gram
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• Some Coriander leaves
• Curry leaves
• 2 – Red Chillies

Method:

  1. Clean raw tamarind and cut them to pieces.
  2. Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sliced tomato and grind it into a paste.
  3. For seasoning, add oil to the pan.
  4. Add mustard seeds, jeera, Bengal gram, urad dal, red chilli, curry leaves and finely chopped onions.
  5. Garnish this with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, chapatti or roti.
