Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – deshelled, deveined prawns.
• 1 cup – grated coconut.
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 1 tsp – Hing (rock), not powder Hing.
• 1 tsp – Coconut oil.
• Salt.
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind paste.

Method:

  1. Grind all the ingredients, except coconut oil to fine paste.
  2. Add water and boil.
  3. Add prawns, salt and coconut oil.
  4. Simmers.
  5. Cook for another 10 mins.
  6. Serve with hot rice.
