Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Channa dal
• 3/4 cup – Toor Dal
• 1/4 cup – Urad Dal
• 4 tsp – raw Rice
• 1 cup – keerai
• 4 – Red Chillies
• Water – a little
• 1 tsp – Asafoetida
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Soak the dals and rice for an hour and strain the water.
  2. Grind it along with red chillies and salt. Sprinkle water if necessary.
  3. Add the keerai, asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Take a small ball of the batter and pat it in between the palm and deep fry in the pre-heated tawa with oil.
  6. Let it cook till golden brown and then remove from oil.
