Quick N Easy Fish Curry

Ingredients:

• 450 g – fish
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1/2 tsp – – Turmeric powder
• 3 flakes – Garlic
• 3 slices – Ginger
• 25 g – Tamarind
• 50 ml – warm water
• 200 ml – water
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – paprika powder
• 2 cm – Cinnamon stick
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper powder
• 6-7 – Curry leaves
• Oil

Method:

  1. Wash the fish and cut into 2-3 cm squares. Sprinkle with the salt and turmeric.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and place the fish on it. Saute for a couple of minutes.
  3. Crush the garlic and ginger together and keep aside.
  4. Soak and squeeze the tamarind in the warm water.
  5. Pour 375 ml water on the fish, add crushed garlic- ginger, tamarind water, chilli powder, paprika powder, cinnamon stick, black pepper and curry leaves.
  6. Cover the pan and simmer over a low heat until the fish is cooked.
