Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Toor Dal
• 3 tbsp – Moong Dal
• 2 – tomatoes, finely chopped
• 1.5 – 2 tbsps – Sambar powder
• To taste – Hing, salt
• Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seed
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1 tsp – Haldi powder
• Coriander leaves – for garnish

Method:

  1. Cook both the dals with turmeric powder and salt in the cooker.
  2. In a pan, heat ghee, add mustard seeds and jeera.
  3. After they splutter, add hing, chilli powder, sambar powder, and mix well for minute.
  4. Add tomatoes and saute well till tomatoes almost become a pulp.
  5. Add the cooked dals, salt and mix well.
  6. Add water and boil till you get the required consistency.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
