Ingredients:

• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1 – Egg
• Little – kewra essence
• 1 litre – Milk
• 1 cup – Milk powder
• Little – pista, slivered into slices
• 1 cup – Sugar

Method:

  1. Beat the egg with the baking powder.
  2. Add milk powder and knead.
  3. If it is too moist, add a little more milk powder.
  4. Make about 16 balls. Flatten, and keep it aside.
  5. Boil milk in a broad and shallow pan, like a Chinese wok.
  6. Reduce it to half the quantity.
  7. Add sugar and stir, till dissolved.
  8. Add the malai balls, till they rise to the top.
  9. Add kewra essence and pista. Serve hot or cold.
