Ingredients:

• 2 – raw plantains
• Roast and grind for masala:
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tbsp – dhaniya
• 1 tbsp the – Coconut
• For seasoning:
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – mustard and Jeera
• Curry leaves
• 1/4 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Peel the plantain and cut into small cubes.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the plantain, 1/2 cup of water, salt and turmeric and cook for 3 whistles.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and add the seasoning along with urad dal, mustard and jeera.
  4. Add chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
  5. Now add cooked plantain along with water.
  6. Let it simmer on the stove for 2 mins until the water evaporates.
  7. Add the ground powder and some tamarind pulp. After a minute switch off the stove.
