Ingredients:

• Use Basmathi or Jasmine Rice
• Use Cornware (A Glass Vessel)

Method:

  1. First wash the rice. Add water in 1:2 if using 2-4 cups of rice. If you use more rice then lessen the water a little bit i.e. 14 cups of water for 8 cups of Basmati rice or use only 13 cups water for Jasmine rice. You’ll know this from experience. Jasmine needs less water than Basmati as Basmati is aged rice as Jasmine is not. Also, use less water for Plethora/Lemon/Fried Rice. Let it stay for 10 minutes if possible. DO NOT forget to use Plastic vessel. The rice cooked in this will be extremely good.
  2. Put it in microwave and time it depending on the quantity. Rice will be done completely when the rice pops up a little bit on the top/surface. After the microwave stops, check the rice immediately and if it’s not done then time it again.
  3. Timing varies depending on the microwave power.Approximate timings:
  4. 1 cup rice – 2 cups water – 15 to 18 mins.
  5. 2 cups rice – 4 cups water – about 20 min
  6. 3 cups rice – 6 cups water – 22 to 23 min
  7. 4 cups rice – 7 cups water – about 25 min
  8. 5 cups rice – 9 cups water – about 26 min
  9. 6 cups rice – 11 cups water – 27 – 28 min
  10. For Rice and Vegetables Pulav, simply add mixed vegetables to the rice and water mixture and put some Ghee/butter/Oil along with a pinch of safron.
