Ingredients:

• 1 – medium-sized ridge gourd, cut into 1 inch pieces
• 1 tbsp – Chana dal
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 4 -5 – Green chillies
• gnger – a few
• Curry leaves – a few
• Coriander leaves – a few
• Salt – to taste
• Tamarind – as per need
• Jaggery (Optional)
• 1 tbsp – of grated Coconut
• Oil – as per need

Method:

  1. Heat oil. Add mustard seeds. After it splutters, add chana dal and urad dal.
  2. Once they are done, add slit-green chillies, ginger, both the leaves and the cut ridge-gourd pieces.
  3. Fry till done and grind in the mixie with salt, tamarind and coconut till the required consistency is achieved.
  4. This can be served with rice, chapathis, idlis and dosas.
