Ingredients:

• 3 – ripe Tomatoes
• 2 – green chillies, slit
• 1 stalk – Curry leaves
• 1/2 tbsp – coriander, chopped fine
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/8 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/8 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/4 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/4 tsp – coriander powder
• 4 pinch – Asafoetida
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp each – cumin and Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – oil.

Method:

  1. Chop tomatoes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard and cumin seeds.
  3. Add asafoetida, curry leaves and chillies.
  4. Stir and add tomatoes.
  5. Add red chilli, turmeric, garam masala, cumin and coriander powders and salt.
  6. Stir gently, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle sugar, stir and simmer for 2 mins.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
  9. Serve hot.
