Simple Mor Kuzhambu

Ingredients:

• white pumpkin – 1/4
• Tur dal – 4 tbsp
• Channa dal – 2 tbsp
• Urad Dal – 2 tbsp
• Methi seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Hing
• Green chilli – 5-6
• Coconut (grated) – 1 cup
• Coriander – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Curd – 2 cups

Method:

  1. Cook the pumpkin with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Soak the tur and channa dal for 2 hours.
  3. In 1 tsp of oil, fry the urad dal, methi seeds, hing and chillies.
  4. Add the soaked dal and remove from the flame. When it cools down, add coconut, jeera, turmeric, coriander and grind to a fine paste.
  5. Add the curd and beat once so that it mixes with the masala.
  6. Season mustard seeds and curry leaves in 1 tsp of coconut oil and add.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
