Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Mutton pieces
• 3 tbsp – Vinegar
• 2 tbsp – Cumin seeds (powder)
• 2 tbsp – Mustard Seeds (powder)
• 2 tbsp – Red Chillies (powder)
• 18 Cloves – Garlic (sliced)
• 10 – Cloves
• 4.5 long piece – Ginger (sliced)
• 2.5 – Cinnamon
• 10 – whole Cardamoms (small)
• 5 – large onions, sliced
• 10 tbsp – Ghee
• salt to taste
Method:
- Grind the mustard, cumin and red chillies to a paste with 2-inch piece of ginger, 10 cloves of garlic, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Add 2 sliced onions to it.
- Mix the ground paste with vinegar and soak meat in the mixture for 4 to 5 hours.
- Now fry 2 sliced onions, 8 pods of garlic and 2.5 long grated pieces of ginger in ghee.
- Add the meat mixture and let it simmer on a low fire in a lightly covered vessel for 1 hour and a half or until the meat is soft and done.
- Serve hot with rice or chapattis.
