Ingredients:

• 1 kg – boneless, skinless Chicken breast
• Tandoori marinade:
• 1 – onion, chopped coarsely
• 2 – Garlic cloves, chopped fine
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• 2 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp – ground coriander
• 2 tsp – paprika
• 1 tsp – ground Ginger
• 1/2 tsp – chilli pepper, powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1/2 tsp – ground Cloves
• 2 cups – plain non-fat yogurt
• salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

  1. In a food processor, puree the onion and garlic.
  2. Add lemon, lime juice, spices, yogurt and process to blend.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture overnight, turning occasionally, in the refrigerator.
  4. Prepare a charcoal or wood fire and let it burn down to the embers.
  5. Remove the excess marinade and grill for 5 mins on each side or until done.
  6. Serve with yogurt cilantro sauce to taste.
